First of all, determine the North direction of your home through a compass app in your mobile. Once the North direction is ascertained, the other 9 directions can be easily determined. Thereafter, go through the following information and if any deficiency is found in any direction, make directional changes suitably to enjoy all the comforts of your domestic life.

1).  पूर्व (EAST): It is the direction of rising Sun; Sun is its Planetary Lord; Indra is its Directional Lord; This direction gives power, position and prosperity.

2). आग्नेय (SOUTH EAST): It is the direction of light and fire; Venus is its Planetary Lord; Agni (fire) is its Directional Lord; This direction supplies heat and light which are purifying agents of Nature.

3). दक्षिण (SOUTH): It is the direction of scorching rays of Sun; Mars is its Planetary Lord; Yama is its Directional Lord; This direction showers unbearable heat in summer season and thus should be kept closed.

4).  नैऋत्य (SOUTH WEST): It is the direction of radio-active infrared rays of the afternoon Sun; Rahu is its Planetary Lord; Pitar (forefathers/Ancestors) is its Directional Lord; This direction gives poison like rays of Sun; So, it is recommended to keep this side of your home always high, heavy and closed.

5). पश्चिम (WEST): It is the direction of setting Sun; Saturn is its Planetary Lord; Varun is its Directional Lord; This direction gives natural light till late hours.

6). वायव्य (NORTH WEST): It is the direction of fresh wind’s entry; Moon is its Planetary Lord; Vayu (Air lord) is its Directional Lord; This direction supplies pure air which is the greatest purifying agent of Nature.

7).  उत्तर (NORTH): It is the coolest direction; Mercury is its Planetary Lord; Kuber is its Directional Lord; This direction showers health and wealth on the inhabitants.

8).   ईशान (NORTH EAST): It is the most pious direction; Jupiter is its Planetary Lord; Ish is its Directional Lord; This direction supplies the most benefic ultraviolet rays of Sun which have curative powers.

9).  आकाश (SPACE UPWARDS): It is also called upward direction; It is the vast space surrounding us; Jupiter being lord of expansion is considered its Planetary Lord; Brahma is its Directional Lord; This direction gives the power of word and rules all the communications between mortal and immortal worlds.

10).  पाताल (BELOW EARTH): It is also called downward direction; It is the dark depth of Earth; Saturn being lord of darkness is considered its Planetary Lord; Vasuki, king of cobras, is its Directional Lord; Paataal provides a stable foundation to the building; Main qualities of Paataal are lethargy, inactivity, sleepiness and solidity.
